A list of every NHL prospect at the 2024 world juniors
The most wonderful time of the year is upon us, the 2024 World Juniors are set to kick off on December 26th. Today we take a look at all NHL prospects who will be participating in the tournament in Gothenburg, Sweden.
30 out of 32 teams will have a prospect or prospects competing for a gold medal. The Buffalo Sabres top out with the most at seven, but could have been eight had Zach Bensin been loaned out. St. Louis added a seventh just days ago when Theo Lindstein was confirmed to join Sweden, too. The Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks and Seattle Kraken have six prospects participating this year.
Surprisingly, (not really) the Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers are the only two clubs without an active prospect playing in the tournament.
A few top drafted prospects to watch will be Montreal Canadiens draft pick Lane Hutson, Arizona Coyotes first-rounder Conor Geekie, Philadelphia Flyers top draft pick Cutter Gauthier and Sabres’ forward Matthew Savoie, who has also suited up for a handful of NHL games this season.
