Jenik has a bit of NHL experience, playing 24 games across five different seasons with the Arizona Coyotes and the Senators. He was drafted in the third round of the 2018 draft by the Coyotes, spending six seasons in Arizona before he was dealt to the Senators in the 2024 offseason. He’s currently signed to one-year, $775,000 contract.
Jenik will be a group six unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, as he is 25 years old at the time of his contract expiring, played less than 80 NHL games, but still did so across three professional seasons.
Jenik has seen a step back in his production this season, as he had only nine goals and eight assists for 17 points in 41 games with Ottawa’s minor-league affiliate, the Belleville Senators. His point-per-game pace this season is currently the worst of his career.
Bolduc has the most NHL experience in the trade, as he has 52 games played across three seasons with the New York Islanders. He was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft by the Islanders. He is signed to a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Kings after the Islanders opted not to qualify him in the summer, and will be also be a group six UFA for meeting the same requirements as Jenik.
Bolduc has seen his production step back a little bit from previous AHL seasons, as he has five goals and 16 assists for 21 points in 56 games with the Kings’ minor-league affiliate, the Ontario Reign. That puts him well short of his previous career-high of 35 points, which he’s hit twice in 2022-23 and 2024-25.
