Alex Galchenyuk is joining the Coyotes on PTO

@Alex Galchenyuk will be trying out for a second go-around with the Arizona Coyotes.
Pierre LeBrun reported on Tuesday that the former No. 3 overall pick will be joining the team on a professional tryout this fall.
Alex Galchenyuk has signed a PTO with the Coyotes.
And yes, I’m back to work. The hockey season is upon us !

Galchenyuk spent the first six seasons of his career with the Montreal Canadiens, the team that drafted him, before getting dealt in a one-for-one swap for @Max Domi. In one season with Arizona, Galchenyuk scored 19 goals and 41 points over 72 games.
Since then, he’s been living out of a suitcase.
Galchenyuk was moved to the Penguins in the summer of 2019 as part of the return for @Phil Kessel. During the 2019-20 season, he was dealt to Minnesota in the deal that brought @Jason Zucker to Pittsburgh. Galchenyuk then inked a one-year deal with the Senators, played eight games there, was traded to Carolina, waived, and was claimed by the Maple Leafs. With Toronto, Galchenyuk scored four goals and recorded 12 points over the course of 26 games.
The hope for Arizona is that Galchenyuk can be a quality depth producer on a cheap deal. If that’s the case, they’ll likely be able to move him ahead of the trade deadline to acquire more draft picks, as has been their priority all summer.
