Jensen, 35, appeared in 61 games with the Ottawa Senators during the 2025-26 regular season, collecting four goals and 17 points while averaging 17:01 of ice time. The 6′ right-shot defender did not appear in the team’s four-game playoff loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Jensen appeared in parts of four seasons with the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins before debuting with the Red Wings in 2016-17. Over parts of six seasons in D.C., Jensen played some of the best hockey of his NHL career, setting career highs with five goals and 29 points while averaging 20:37 of ice time over 77 games with the Capitals in 2022-23. One year later, the Capitals traded Jensen and a 2026 third-round pick to Ottawa in exchange for Jakob Chychrun.
In 694 career NHL games over parts of 10 seasons with the Red Wings, Capitals, and Senators, Jensen has collected 26 goals and 172 points. He’s also skated in 33 career playoff games with Washington and Ottawa, recording no points.
