Anaheim Ducks sign defenseman Noah Warren to entry-level contract

The Anaheim Ducks have signed defenseman Noah Warren to a three-year, entry-level contract, the club announced Wednesday morning.
Warren, 19, collected 20 points (three goals, 17 assists) in 47 games with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Gatineau Olympiques during the 2022–23 regular season.
The Ducks originally selected Warren in the second round (No. 42 overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft. The six-foot-five defenseman, who shoots right, was the third player to be selected by the Ducks in last year’s draft, after Pavel Mintyukov and Nathan Gaucher.
Warren’s entry-level contract will be able to slide forward by one year if he does not appear in more than nine games with the Ducks during the 2023–24 season. If so, it’ll take effect with the 2024–25 campaign and run through 2027.

The St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec product took another step forward in his draft year, racking up five goals and 24 points in 65 contests.
Through 138 games over three QMJHL seasons with the Olympiques, Warren has collected nine goals and 48 points. He’s added two assists in 11 career playoff contests with Gatineau.
Back in June, the Olympiques traded Warren and fellow defenseman Mathis Gauthier to the Saint John Sea Dogs in exchange for two selections in the 2025 QMJHL Draft.
Warren is the third member of the Ducks’ 2022 draft class to sign with the team, following the two first-round picks in Mintyukov and Gaucher. The Ducks also selected defenseman Tristan Luneau, center Ben King, left wing Connor Hvidston, right wing Michael Callow, and goaltender Vyacheslav Buteyets in 2022.
Once Warren turns pro, he’ll be expected to compete for ice time as part of a Ducks defensive prospect group that also includes Mintyukov, Luneau Drew Helleson, Jackson LaCombe, Olen Zellweger, and Tyson Hinds.
