Ducks sign Ethan Procyszyn to entry-level contract

A solid scoring threat in junior hockey has inked his first NHL contract.

On Tuesday, the Anaheim Ducks announced that the team has signed forward Ethan Procyszyn to a three-year, entry-level contract. The deal will begin with the 2026-27 season.

The signing comes less than a week after Procyszyn and the North Bay Battalion were eliminated from the Ontario Hockey League Playoffs. The Battalion made it to the second round before being ousted by the top-seeded Brantford Bulldogs in five games.

Procyszyn had captained the Battalion for the past two seasons, in which he was one of the team’s top scorers. After setting career highs in goals (34), assists (30) and points (64) during the 2024-25 campaign, the 19-year-old had another strong performance this season. In 65 games, he notched 31 goals and 28 assists for 59 points. He led North Bay in goals and points in each of his final two seasons with the club. Procyszyn added four goals and five points in 10 playoff games this spring.

Across four seasons in the OHL, all with the Battalion, the Wasaga Beach, Ont. native appeared in 257 regular-season games, scoring 85 goals and 92 assists for 177 points. He also put up nine goals and six assists for 15 points in 43 postseason affairs.

Along with his junior career, Procyszyn played for Canada Red at the 2022 Under-17 World Hockey Challenge, helping his team take home the silver medal after scoring three goals and four points in seven games.

Procyszyn was taken by the Ducks in the third round, 68th overall, of the 2024 NHL Draft. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing just under 200 pounds, he’s not afraid to use his body to make a play, making him tough for opposing defenders to stop. Given the fact he can play both wing and center, Procyszyn can be a versatile power forward.
