Anaheim Ducks’ Troy Terry leaves game with upper-body injury

Anaheim Ducks forward Troy Terry left Monday night’s game against the Dallas Stars with an upper-body injury. 

Terry logged 2:26 of ice time and left the game during the first period in some discomfort. He was not seen on the bench for the start of the second period and shortly after the Ducks ruled him out of the game. 

The 25-year-old has had a solid year posting 42 points (13 goals, 29 assists) in 50 games; Terry leads the Ducks in the assists column and sits second behind Trevor Zegras in points. Terry represented the Ducks and Pacific Division this season at the 2023 NHL All-Star Game in Sunrise, Florida. The two-time NHL All-Star is currently in the final year of a three-year, $4.3 million contract he signed in July 2020. He will become a restricted free agent (RFA) come July 1st. He was originally selected by the Ducks in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL Draft and would go on to lead the Denver Pioneers to the 2017 NCAA Championship. Terry was named a FIrst-Team West All-American after tallying 48 points in 39 games. Terry singled his three-year entry-level contract (ELC) with the Ducks on March 27, 2018. He is now in his sixth full season with the club. In 254 regular season games, he has registered 65 goals, and 92 assists for 157 points. 

The Ducks sit in 8th in the Pacific Division and 30th league wide with a record of 16–29-5 and a points percentage of .370%.
