Betway Bets of the Day — Eichel, Bouchard & Lehkonen Shot Props

Welcome to the Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL Odds site Betway!
Jack Eichel (VGK) ov3.5 SOG (-118)
Eichel currently leads the NHL in shots on goal (32) and is averaging 7.0 shot attempts per game through six contests. We saw This type of shot volume from him early in his career while he was with Buffalo, and the market seems slow to react to it. He’s gone over 3.5 SOG in four of six games (66.7%), so getting it at an implied probability of 54.1% is a strong play. The Flyers have done a good job defensively this season, but with the game in Vegas, the Golden Knights should have no issues avoiding an Eichel vs. Sean Couturier matchup.
Evan Bouchard (EDM) ov2.5 (-105)
With Connor McDavid out, we will see a different version of the Edmonton Oilers, particularly on the power play. Without McDavid, Bouchard could take on more of a shooting role, which he already does a lot of. He had seven shots in their OT loss to Winnipeg on Saturday and averages 3.8 SOG/gm through five games. Most impressively, he’s taken 34 shot attempts (6.8 per game), which would put him on pace for 558 attempts over 82 games–he had 380 shot attempts last season. Add in that Minnesota is giving up the fourth-most shots against in the NHL so far, and things are lining up nicely for Bouchard to go over 2.5 SOG at -105.
Artturi Lehkonen (COL) ov2.5 (+100)
Lehkonen seems like a completely different player this season. Through five games, he’s already got 22 shots on net and is averaging 5.6 shot attempts per game. So far, he’s gone over 2.5 SOG in four of five games (80.0%), and you can get this at even-money tonight. The Islanders are giving up the 12th-most shots per game this season, so this is not a bad matchup for Lehkonen.
