Betway starting goalie bet of the day: Bet on Devils’ Akira Schmid to make under 29.5 saves in game two against Carolina

Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Florida Panthers continued to shock the hockey world on Thursday, taking a 2-0 series lead from the heavily favored Toronto Maple Leafs. Toronto scored two goals in the first six minutes of the game, but Sergei Bobrovsky held the fort down for the rest of the game for the Panthers.
Bobrovsky stopped 35 of 37 shots and Florida scoring two goals 53 seconds apart early in the second period is what led them to victory. Game 3 of the series will take place Sunday in Florida.
In the West, the Dallas Stars tied their series 1-1 with the Seattle Kraken. Tyler Seguin and Joe Pavelski both scored their fifth goal of the playoffs to help propel the Stars to victory. Jake Oettinger stopped 25 of 27 shots to earn second star honors.
Friday will only have one game on schedule as Carolina looks to take a 2-0 series lead over the New Jersey Devils. Here is a bet I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Akira Schmid to make under 29.5 saves at -115.
Like we stated in game one of this series, these are two of the top five play driving teams in the league and since both teams are incredible at generating shots we may see more of a chess match than a high event game.
Game 1 showed exactly that as Carolina who averages 35 shots a night had only 23 shots and New Jersey who averages 34 shots a night had only 18. Going with this trend I like Schmid’s under tonight.
Last Game Bets
Bet on Sergei Bobrovsky to make over 29.5 saves at -125.
Bobrovsky has channeled his inner Vezina Trophy days and stole game two for the Panthers making 35 saves on 37 saves shots and improving our record to 5-2 for the playoffs.
