Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!

In just a two-day span, both of Canada’s hopes of bringing a Stanley Cup north of the border for the first time in 30 years have gone array. The Vegas Golden Knights eliminated the Edmonton Oilers with a 5-2 win in game six.

Jonathan Marchessault scored a natural hat trick in the second period to turn a 2-1 deficient into a 4-2 lead for the Knights and due to Adin Hill’s tremendous goaltending, they never looked back. Hill made 38 saves on 40 shots and helped carry the Knights into round 3.

For the Oilers, after dominating games one and two, Leon Draisaitl failed to score a single goal for the rest of the series. Stuart Skinner was pulled after allowing four goals on 17 shots in game six. Plenty of questions will need to be asked in Oilers country as the team has yet to reach a finals with the undisputed best player in the world Connor McDavid.

With three teams already into the final four, only one spot remains and what better way to decide it than a game seven. Seattle will play their second straight game seven in the lone star state against the Dallas Stars. Here is a goalie prop I like for tonight’s game/

Goalie Prop

Phillip Grubauer to make over 26.5 saves

Grubauer is fresh off a game seven road win against his former team where he was the best player on the ice, making 33 saves on 34 shots against the defending champs. In a game seven at home, I expect the Stars to have a similar output and the onus will be on Grubauer to keep his team in the game.

In the three previous road games in this series, Grubauer has made over 26.5 saves in two of them and in the six road games he’s played in this playoffs has made over 26.5 saves in four of them, which is a 66% clip.

Last Game Bets

Adin Hill to make under 28.5 saves

Hill proved us wrong he was absolutely brilliant for the Knights making 38 saves and hit his over with ease. Our record for the playoffs is now 8-7.
