The 25-year-old had a goal and five assists for six points in seven games with the Blues this season.
In 2023-24, Thomas had 26 goals and 60 assists for 86 points, career highs in all categories. Now in his seventh NHL season, Thomas has 87 goals and 234 assists for 321 points in 403 career regular-season games.
Thomas also has four goals and 14 assists for 18 points in 45 Stanley Cup Playoff games, and was a part of the club’s 2019 playoff run, where they won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
Before turning pro, Thomas was taken No. 20 overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the London Knights and Hamilton Bulldogs, scoring 43 goals and 113 assists for 156 points in 155 regular-season games.
Thomas found championship success in junior, as well, winning the OHL Championship with the Knights in 2016 and the Bulldogs in 2018. With the Bulldogs, Thomas led the club in assists and points with 20 and 32, respectively.
The Blues are 4-3-0 with eight points through their first seven games, most recently losing 3-2 to the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday night. Forward Jordan Kyrou leads the team with seven points (two goals and five assists). Meanwhile, defenseman Philip Broberg, who as a restricted free agent signed a two-year, $9.1 million sheet with the Blues in the offseason that the Edmonton Oilers refused to match, has a goal and five assists for six points.
