St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Tuesday that the club has signed Aleksanteri Kaskimäki to a three-year, entry-level contract

Kaskimäki was drafted No. 73 overall in the 2022 NHL Draft. 

Kaskimäki spent the 2023-24 regular season with HIFK in Finland’s top men’s league, LIIGA. He notched 10 goals and seven assists for 17 points in 46 regular season games. Kaskimäki added one assist in six LIIGA playoff contests.

The 20-year-old also appeared in seven games with Finland at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship where he tallied two goals and two assists for four points, he ranked seventh among Finnish skaters. Kaskimäki also represented Finland at the 2022 IIHF U-18 World Juniors, he tallied four points in six games, capturing a bronze medal.

Kaskimäki spent the past four seasons with the HIFK organization, tallying 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points in 93 games.
