Two teams are able to clinch playoff spots tonight: the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers.

The Bruins will clinch if they can get one point against the New Jersey Devils in their game tonight, or if the Washington Capitals defeat the New York Rangers in any capacity tonight. Boston currently sits fourth in the MassMutual East Division with a 30-14-6 record with a .660 points percentage. They’ve got a strong goal differential this year, scoring 160 goals and allowing 123.

The Oilers, meanwhile, can clinch a playoff spot if they get at least one point in their game against the Vancouver Canucks tonight. The Oilers have had a very good season coming off a disappointing exit in the bubble. They’ve posted a 30-17-2 record and a .633 points percentage. The Oilers also have posted a great goal differential in all situations this year scoring 158 goals and allowing 131.
