Bruins’ Elias Lindholm leaves game vs. Rangers with lower-body injury

The Boston Bruins announced on social media that forward Elias Lindholm left Saturday’s game against the New York Rangers with a lower-body injury and would not return.

The Bruins won the game 10-2, thanks to a four-goal performance from Marat Khusnutdinov, a hat trick from Pavel Zacha and six assists from David Pastrnak.
In 13 games this season, Lindholm has eight goals and 22 assists for 30 points. Now in his second season with the Bruins, the Boden, Sweden, native has 25 goals and 52 assists for 77 points in 117 regular-season games.
He signed with Boston ahead of the 2024-25 season, inking a seven-year deal with an annual average value of $7.75 million through the 2030-31 campaign.
Through 13 NHL seasons, Lindholm has 243 goals and 391 assists for 634 points in 935 regular-season games with the Bruins, Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes and Vancouver Canucks.
He’s also appeared in 40 playoff games, scoring 13 times and adding 14 assists for 27 points.
As for Geekie, he has 25 goals and 16 assists for 41 points in 45 games this season. Going into Saturday’s action, he was tied for fourth in the NHL in goals. Now in his seventh NHL season, he has 97 goals and 103 assists for 200 points in 378 career regular-season games with the Bruins and Seattle Kraken.
He’s also played in 37 Stanley Cup Playoff games, where he’s recorded six goals and four assists for 10 points.
The Bruins are now 24-19-2 with 50 points, fifth in the Atlantic Division and one point out of a wild-card spot.
