Fleet to play home games at Agganis Arena in 2026-27

The Boston Fleet are finally going to be a permanent resident of the city in their name.
On Tuesday, the team announced that they will be playing their home games at Agganis Arena, the home of Boston University’s men’s ice hockey team, for the 2026-27 season.
The decision ends a three-year partnership between the Fleet and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, as the campus’ Tsongas Center was the club’s primary home venue since its inception in 2024.
Fleet Director of Business Operations Laura Marie Davey stated in a release that the franchise is excited for the full-time move toward the heart of the city.
“The passion for the Fleet in the City of Boston has continued to grow since our first game at Agganis,” Davey said. “This move allows us to build on that momentum while creating new opportunities to connect with supporters throughout Greater Boston, the South Shore and Rhode Island. We’re deeply grateful to the Lowell community and our partners at the Tsongas Center, whose support has been instrumental to the growth of our organization. We look forward to carrying that support with us as we begin this next chapter.”
It makes sense that Boston would finally make a permanent move to Boston proper. Due to arena availability in the league’s inception, the team couldn’t find a proper, permanent home early on, forcing the team to pursue venues outside the city’s limits. However, this past season, there has been more interest in the Fleet’s games at BU than there were in Lowell. During the 2025-26 campaign, Boston played eight games at Tsongas Center and four at Agganis. In Lowell, the Fleet averaged 4,886 fans per game, 81.4% of the venue’s capacity. At Agganis, the team drew 5,238 patrons per contest, 85.2% of the arena’s 6,150 capacity, with two games drawing over 6,000.
The Fleet made their debut at Agganis during the 2024-25 season, selling out both games at the Terriers’ home rink. Boston has had success in the barn, going 3-0-1-2, winning three of the four games this past year.
