Vegas Golden Knights forward Brett Howden is in stable condition and has full movement in his body after a hit in Thursday night’s game with the Nashville Predators resulted in him getting carried off the ice in a stretcher.

With three minutes left in the first period, Howden took a hit from Filip Forsberg and tumbled headfirst into the boards. Howden was in the midst of losing his footing as Forsberg threw the hit, leaving him in an awkward position.

Forsberg showed concern for Howden, immediately turning back to check to see if he was okay after the collision.

We decided not to embed the video of Howden’s injury directly into the article as the content is very jarring. The video clip can be viewed by pressing this link.

“We just hope he’s ok,” Predators captain Roman Josi told Bally Sports during the first intermission. “It’s a player’s health. That’s the most important thing. It was definitely shocking. We just hope he’s going to be ok and can recover quickly.”

The Golden Knights announced during the game that Howden was in stable condition and went to the hospital for further exams. The team said postgame that it hopes to know more about his condition on Friday.

Vegas went on to win the game by a score of 6-1.
