Calgary Flames acquire Erik Gustafsson, Derek Forbort, deal Brandon Davidson

The Calgary Flames made a trio of trades Monday acquiring defenceman Derek Forbort and Erik Gustafsson, all the while trading Brandon Davidson.

Gustafsson was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a conditional 2020 third-round pick — the earliest of which picks the Flames have.

Forbort was acquired for a conditional 2021 fourth-round pick. The pick becomes 2022 third if: the Flames make the conference final, and Forbort plays in half the playoff games, or if re-signs.

Davidson was traded to the Sharks in exchange for future considerations.
