Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin announced on Friday that defenseman Carson Soucy has been placed on long-term injured reserve (LTIR) and forward Pius Suter has been placed on injured reserve retroactively.

The team also recalled forward Nils Aman and defenseman Cole McWard from their AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks.

Soucy, 29, has two goals and three assists for five points with the Canucks this season, averaging 16:52 of ice time in 13 games. He last played with the team on Nov. 12 against the Montreal Canadiens, where he sustained a lower-body injury after blocking a Juraj Slafkovsky shot.

On Nov. 15, Allvin announced that Soucy would be out for six-to-eight weeks.

In 263 career NHL games, Soucy has 23 goals and 50 assists in 73 games.

As for Suter, 27, he also hasn’t played with the club since that Nov. 12 matchup against the Canadiens. He had been listed as day-to-day in the near two weeks since that game.

In 15 games with the Canucks, Suter has four goals. In 231 career NHL games, he’s scored 47 goals and 44 assists for 91 points.

Aman, 23, has eight goals and seven assists for 15 points in 15 games with Abbotsford. Last season, he played 68 games with the Canucks, scoring four goals and 12 assists for 16 points.

McWard, 22, has one goals and three assists for four points in 15 games with Abbotsford. Last season, he joined the Canucks towards the end of the season after signing a professional contract, leaving The Ohio State University. In two seasons with the Buckeyes, McWard scored 13 goals and 24 assists for 37 points.
