Hurricanes acquire Mark Jankowski, send draft pick to Predators

The Carolina Hurricanes made a secondary move on Friday ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline.
After trading away Mikko Rantanen for Logan Stankoven and four NHL Draft Picks, the club added 30-year-old center Mark Jankowski from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Jankowski heads to the Hurricanes amid a season that has seen him score four goals and nine points in 41 games with the Predators, averaging 12:42 of ice-time each night. The Hurricanes will become the fifth NHL team of his career, after stints with the Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres and Predators.
