Carolina Hurricanes’ Andrei Svechnikov “out for a while” with upper-body injury

Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour addressed the media Tuesday and announced that forward Andrei Svechnikov will be “out for a while” with an upper-body injury following an MRI yesterday.
“He’s going to be out,” Brind’Amour said. “Probably for at least a while. Nothing immediate that’s for sure.”
Svechnikov was held out of the lineup last Thursday against the Calgary Flames and missed Saturday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks. Both games ended in losses.
