Chris Driedger will start Game 2 for the Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers are making a change in net.
After @Sergei Bobrovsky allowed five goals in Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Panthers will roll with @Chris Driedger in Game 2.
Bobrovsky is just two years into the seven-year, $70 million contract he signed with the Panthers back on July 1, 2019. He hasn’t come anywhere near living up to that contract, posting a .902 save percentage in his first two seasons with the club.
Head coach Joel Quenneville opted to go with the two-time Vezina Trophy winner for Game 1 because of his experience in the playoffs. Bobrovsky played a key role in the Columbus Blue Jackets shocking the Lightning in a four-game sweep back in 2019.
Driedger was one of the biggest surprises in the league this year. He came into 2021 with just 15 NHL games under his belt but Driedger became Florida’s ace in net, posting a .927 save percentage over 23 starts.
Another option for the Panthers is 20-year-old Spencer Knight. The No. 13 overall pick from the 2019 draft posted a .919 save percentage in the first four games of his NHL career this season.
