The New York Rangers announced Tuesday that they have recalled forward prospect Cole Beaudoin from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.

Beaudoin, 20, has collected five points (one goal, four assists) through his first two games of the season with Hartford. According to The Athletic‘s Vince Z. Mercogliano, Beaudoin will make his NHL debut on Tuesday night, centering the Rangers’ fourth line as the New York Islanders visit Madison Square Garden.

In a corresponding move, the Rangers have assigned defenseman Matthew Robertson to Hartford. The 25-year-old lefty previously cleared waivers on Tuesday afternoon.

The Rangers originally acquired Beaudoin from the Utah Mammoth on July 1 as one of the main pieces in the Vincent Trocheck trade, alongside Sean Durzi and a 2027 third-round draft pick.

A first-round pick (No. 24 overall) of Utah in 2024, Beaudoin played his junior career with the OHL’s Barrie Colts between 2022-23 and 2025-26. The 6’2″ center ended his tenure in Barrie on a high note last season, collecting 43 goals and 117 points in 69 games across the regular season and playoffs as the Colts reached the OHL Final.

Over his four years in Barrie, Beaudoin collected 91 goals and 221 points in 236 regular-season games and 16 goals and 49 points in 50 playoff contests. He served as the Colts’ captain in 2025-26, having been designated an alternate in the previous two seasons.

During his junior career, Beaudoin was twice named to Team Canada for the IIHF World Junior Championship. The Ottawa product established himself as one of the team’s focal points at the 2026 tournament, collecting three goals and seven points in seven games while often serving as a top-six center.

The Islanders and Rangers are scheduled to hit the ice at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
