Carl Soderberg is heading back for a second stint in Colorado after being traded from Chicago.

Soderberg, 35, played with the Avalanche between 2015-2019 and has spent the last two seasons with the Arizona Coyotes and Chicago.

In 34 games with Chicago this year, Soderberg has scored seven goals and 15 points. Soderberg has struggled mightily for Chicago this year, controlling only 42 percent of the 5×5 shot attempts and 40.41 percent of the 5×5 expected goals.

In exchange for acquiring him, Colorado has sent forward Ryder Rolston and Josh Dickson to Chicago.
