Colorado Avalanche acquire Devan Dubnyk, Patrik Nemeth; Florida Panthers acquire Brandon Montour

A flurry of moves have been made in the last 24 hours or so as we inch towards the deadline.
The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Riley Nash from the Columbus Blue Jackets Friday for a 2022 7th round pick. The move allows the Leafs to dip more into the LTIR with Nash being injured, adding cap space to the Leafs. Nash, meanwhile, will be solid defensive option for the club’s bottom six in the playoffs.
The Colorado Avalanche made two moves: one to acquire defenceman Patrik Nemeth from the Detroit Red Wings for a 2022 fourth round pick, and another to acquire goaltender Devan Dubnyk from the San Jose Sharks. San Jose will get defenceman Greg Pateryn and a 2021 5th round pick in exhcange.
The moves position Colorado in a great spot to continue their hot streak into the playoffs as a team that could make some serious noise.
Flordia made a trade to add some defensive depth in the wake of Aaron Ekblad’s injury by acquiring defenceman Brandon Montour from the Buffalo Sabres.
“Brandon is a capable and talented right-shot defenceman who will have an immediate impact on our club,” Panthers GM Bill Zito said in a statement released by the team. “His two-way acumen and ability to play important minutes make him an exciting addition to the Panthers.”
