Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon out three weeks

The hits keep coming for the Colorado Avalanche.
Already down Cale Makar and Valeri Nichushkin, Avs head coach Jared Bednar said the club will now be without forward Nathan MacKinnon for the next three weeks, “give or take.”
MacKinnon missed practice Tuesday, but didn’t miss a shift during Saturday’s 4-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
He had already missed two games at the start of the year due to COVID-19 protocols.
In eight games this year, MacKinnon has scored one goal and 10 points.
