Columbus Blue Jackets re-acquire Jakub Voracek from Philadelphia Flyers

The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-acquired their 2007 first-round pick Jakub Voracek from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Cam Atkinson.
The trade was first reported by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
Voracek, 31, spent only three years with the Blue Jackets before he was included in the blockbuster 2011 trade that sent him to the Flyers.
He’s spent the last decade there and has been a rock-solid NHLer for years. Over his 968 career NHL games, Voracek has scored 216 goals and 738 points. Last year, he scored nine goals and 43 points in 53 games with the Flyers.
According to hockeyviz.com, Voracek provided even-strength offence at a two percent rate below league average, even-strength defence at a four percent rate above league average, and contributes on the powerplay at a one percent rate above league average.
Voracek has three years remaining on a deal paying him an AAV of $8.25-million, according to PuckPedia.
Going the other way in the deal is Cam Atkinson, who has spent his entire 10-year career with the Blue Jackets after being drafted in the sixth-round of the 2008 NHL entry draft. A veteran of 627 NHL games, Atkinson has scored 213 goals and 402 points. Last year he scored 15 goals and 34 points in 56 games.
According to hockeyviz.com, Atkinson is still a solid top-six contributor. He provided even-strength offence at a four percent rate above league average, and defence at a two percent rate above league average.
Atkinson has four years remaining on a deal paying him an AAV of $5.875-million, according to PuckPedia.
