The San Jose Sharks have acquired goaltender Adin Hill and a 2022 seventh-round pick in exchange for goaltender Josef Korenar and a 2022 second-round pick, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

Hill, 25, posted a .913 save percentage and a 2.74 GAA across 19 games with the Arizona Coyotes in 2020-21.

As mentioned, going back the other way to Arizona is Josef Korenar, who appeared in 10 games with the Sharks last season. In those 10 starts, the Czech netminder posted an .899 save percentage and a GAA of 3.17.

The Martin Jones experiment has been a disappointment for San Jose, who are hoping that Hill can provide them with the steady goaltending they so desperately need.
