We’ve got a great slate tonight, with several players at each position jumping out as great value options who are either in critical roles for their team or providing great production.

This value sheet includes salaries, projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, and three punt defencemen options.

These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.

FULL DFO Daily Projections

Ross Colton (C, COL) – vs WSH – (DK-$3,800 / FD -$4,600)
DFO Projection:
DK-7.1 / FD-9.2

You have to scroll down the value list a bit to find Ross Colton tonight, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t one of the top value plays tonight. At a modest salary, with an excellent 5v5 matchup and time on the Avalanche’s top power play unit, Colton is looking like a great play tonight.

The Seattle Kraken – vs CHI

I couldn’t decide on a singular value play from this team, as I love and hate all of them. Alex Wennberg is popping at the top of the value charts on both sites, but he doesn’t do much on the ice. Eeli Tolvanen and SEA3 look like a good play, but so Thomas Tatar, Jared McCann and Jordan Eberle on SEA1.

Will Borgen (D, SEA) vs CHI ($2,800 / $3,700)
DFO Projection: DK-6.7 / FD-8.9

While the forwards are hard to nail down, Borgen is the easiest blue line play for me tonight. If you’ve read these Value Plays articles for any time, you’d know that Borgen has been one of my favourite plays this season. He’s had some games where he’s put up DraftKings nights in the high-teens, point wise, and has a chance to do so again tonight.

Brandt Clarke (D, LAK) vs. BUF ($3,000 / $3,500)
DFO Projection: DK-5.4 / FD-6.7

Four games into his NHL career, and Brandt Clarke is already producing with eight shots and five blocks, including a performance on Monday against the LA Kings where he took five shots, and blocked another three. In a strong matchup against the Buffalo Sabres, fire at will.

Top Punt Defencemen

  1. Justin Schultz, SEA ($3,100/ $4,100: DK-6.5 / FD-8.4
  2. Vladislav Gavrikov, LAK ($3,100/$3,800): DK-6.1 / FD-7.8
  3. Bowen Byram, COL ($3,000/$4,100): DK-5.5 / FD-7.0
