Daily Faceoff Live: Who is the best bet to win Stanley Cup at midway point?

On Monday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live, Daily Faceoff President Frank Seravalli and former NHL goaltender, now analyst Mike McKenna take to the #ASKDFO inbox and answer your question of the day. Today they discuss who has the best hypothetical odds at the midway point of the regular season to hoist the Stanley Cup. Is it the roaring 25-8-7 Carolina Hurricanes, the electrifying 32-4-4 Boston Bruins or how about the 24-11-6 Dallas Stars? Frank Seravalli and Mike McKenna debate on which team they’d throw $100 at.
Frank Seravalli: Time for our #ASKDFO inbox question of the day, and shout-out to our friends at PointsBet Canada. Mike, if I were to give you a crisp $100 bill which team would you be placing your wager on?
Mike McKenna: Well, see Carolina at +800 and I like that. But there’s a team that’s not on there and totally off the map that I think could win, that’s the Dallas Stars. I think we could see a Dallas vs Carolina final. I take those big odds and go with the Stars, how about you Frank?
Frank Seravalli: Yeah, I picked the Hurricanes to win the Stanley Cup beforehand. But I think at this point in the season, and as well as how Boston has played, they’re on pace for one of the best records ever in the regular season at 139 points. I think the 5-1 odds actually seem pretty decent. The last dance vibes that have been around that team I would be slinging that $100 at Boston and I’d almost never take the chalk, I think those numbers are pretty decent.
