Dobson completes Islanders’ comeback in overtime over Flames
Ilya Sorokin (6-3-0) continued his Vezina-worthy start to the season, stopping 43 of 46 shots (.935 SV%) as the Islanders scored three straight goals to beat the Flames in overtime Monday. Noah Dobson scored (4) with less than a minute left in overtime off Matthew Barzal’s third assist of the game as the Islanders star still sits goalless on the season but has 14 assists in 12 games.

— New York Islanders (@NYIslanders) November 8, 2022Anders Lee continued his point-per-game production, picking up his seventh goal of the season to bring his point total to 13 (7G/6A) in 13 games. Jacob Markstrom picked up his second straight overtime loss to move to 4-2-2, allowing four goals on 32 shots (.875 SV%). Mikael Backlund led the Flames’ offensive attack scoring two (4,5) of their three goals while leading all Calgary forwards with five shots and four hits. Elias Lindholm added his second goal in as many games (6) as he was the other Flame to beat Sorokin on the night.
Blues spiral continues as Bruins hand St.Louis their seventh straight loss
Linus Ullmark picked up his NHL-leading ninth win as he moved to 9-1-0, stopping 25 of 26 shots (.962 SV%) as Boston beat St. Louis 3-1 at home on Monday. Jake DeBrusk (5) and Patrice Bergeron (5) both had power-play goals assisted by Brad Marchand, who now has seven points in five games since coming back early from injury last week. Jordan Binnington stopped 34 of 37 shots (.919 SV%) but picked up his fifth straight loss, posting an .853 SV% over that stretch. Brayden Schenn picked up the lone St. Louis goal (3), which was his 10th point in 10 games (3G/7A) while also adding four hits to lead all players.
Capitals power play carry them to win over Oilers

— zach (@zjlaing) November 8, 2022The Capitals’ power-play did most of the damage, going 4-for-5. Dylan Strome rewarded fantasy owners who picked him up as a streaming option, picking up two goals with one assist to give him 12 points (4G/8A) in 14 games. Alex Ovechkin stayed red-hot, scoring in his third straight game (8) while adding an assist and a team-leading five SOG as he now has 13 points (8G/5A) in 12 games. Erik Gustafsson was a pleasant surprise adding three assists from the point while playing 24:33 TOI in the absence of John Carlson and Dmitry Orlov. Stuart Skinner struggled for the first time this season, allowing five goals on 31 shots (.839 SV%) as he moved to 2-3-0. Edmonton continues to struggle on the penalty kill, ranking 30th in the NHL at 67.9 percent. The Connor McDavid show rolled on as he scored a goal and added an assist with five SOG to bring NHL-leading totals to 27 points (13G/14A) in 13 games–an 82-goal, 170-point pace. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins looks like a great fit alongside McDavid, scoring two goals (6,7) as he impressively is over a point per game with 15 points (7G/8A) in 13 games. Leon Draisaitl also added to his hot start with a goal (8) and an assist as he continues to trail McDavid for the NHL lead in points with 25 points (8G/17A) through his first 13 games. Zach Hyman also had a multi-point effort with two assists in the loss as he joined his three teammates with over a point per game. He now has 15 points (6G/9A) in 13 games.
