Forsberg stands tall as Senators hand Sabres seventh straight loss
Anton Forsberg stopped 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) in his best start of the year (4-6-1) as Ottawa handed Buffalo their seventh straight loss. Tim Stützle continued a three-game multi-point streak by adding a goal (6) and an assist (11), as he is now over a point-per-game with 17 points in 16 games. Austin Watson (1), Brady Tkachuk (7) and Alex DeBrincat (5) each scored for the Senators in the win, while Jake Sanderson continued his hot run of late with two assists, making it six assists in his last nine games for the elite prospect. Eric Comrie added to the nightly trend of injured goaltenders when he left the game in the second period and did not return after stopping 22 of 24 shots (.917 SV%) and taking the loss (4-7-0). Tage Thompson had the lone Sabres’ goal (12) as he picked up his 22nd point (12G/10A) to move to ninth in the NHL in points.

Binnington backstop Blues to their fourth straight win
Jordan Binnington won his fourth straight start to move to 7-5-0 on the season by stopping 25 of 27 shots as St. Louis handed Chicago their fourth loss in five games. Jordan Kyrou continued to heat up after a slow start, picking up his fourth point (3G/1A) in four games with a goal (6) and an assist (2) across 17:09 TOI. Ivan Barbashev joined Kyrou with a goal (3) and an assist (4), while Ryan O’Reilly did the same with a shorthanded goal (4) and an assist (3) to bring his current point streak to three games (2G/3A) after a horrendous start to the season (2G/0A in first 12 GP). Arvid Soderblom struggled throughout, allowing five goals on 35 shots (.857 SV%) to move to 2-3-1 in his rookie campaign. Andreas Athanasiou was the lone Chicago bright spot as he picked up a pair of goals (4,5) on three SOG and 17:08 TOI.
Moore’s hat-trick pushes Kings over the Oilers with Draistaitl and McDavid held pointless
Trevor Moore had a night to remember as he scored all three of the Kings’ goals (3,4,5) for his first career hat-trick as Los Angeles won 3-1 in Edmonton.

— NHL (@NHL) November 17, 2022Cal Petersen had his best start of the season, stopping 22 of 23 shots (.957 SV%) as he held NHL points leader Connor McDavid pointless for the first time in ten games and Leon Draisaitl without a point for the first time in 11 games. Viktor Arvidsson picked up an assist on all three Kings’ goals (8,9,10) and now has 13 points (3G/10A) in his last 12 games. Stuart Skinner was the unfortunate loser after allowing only two goals on 31 shots (.935 SV%) as he continued to impress but moved to 3-4-0 with the losing effort.
