This value sheet includes salaries, projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, and three punt options for defensemen. These largely revolve around their ability to produce peripheral points by taking shots and blocking them. These players are always live for the bonus on DraftKings.

A new addition is the “honourable mention forwards,” taking a look at some low-owned plays that expectations should be tempered with. Still, they bring some level of value in the form of a strong projection tonight, or good past production against their opponents.

These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.

FULL DFO Daily Projections

Jared McCann (C, SEA2) – @ ARI – (DK-$6,400 / FD $6,700)
DFO Projection:
DK-13.5 / FD-18.2

Jared McCann continues to find his way onto the Value Plays list. He has the second-highest value projection behind Nathan MacKinnon (but I don’t have to tell you to play him), and McCann has an excellent matchup tonight. He’s scored 1.6 goals per hour and 3.9 points per hour over his last 25 games, and has great shot volume, too. The best part? McCann is projecting for under 10 percent ownership.

Evgeny Kuznetsov (C, CAR2) – @ WSH – ($3,400 / $5,100)
DFO Projection: DK-7.8 / FD-10.2

Revenge game narrative, anybody? Kuznetsov has looked rejuvenated since joining the Carolina Hurricanes, scoring two goals and five points in eight games. He and his linemates have a great matchup against the Washington Capitals tonight, so let’s see if they can stay hot.

Sean Walker (D, COL-3) vs. CBJ ($3,700 / $4,600)
DFO Projection: DK-7.8 / FD-9.9

Boy, Sean Walker has sure been fun in Colorado. He’s got two goals and three points in five games along with 15 shots on goal and seven blocks. He’s been producing well and actually comes in as the third-ranked defenceman in terms of value while projecting for under two percent ownership.

He’s got slate-breaking potential, with 28.2 and 24.1 DKFP performances since arriving in Colorado, and on a slate like tonight, he could be a difference-maker.

Marcus Pettersson (D, PIT-2) @ DAL ($3,800 / $4,600)
DFO Projection: DK-7.7 / FD-9.8

Oh hey, Marcus Pettersson is back. He continues to be a strong value play, and has had some strong block volume over the last 25 games, while getting some good shot volume. Projecting for under four percent ownership, he’s a great get different play.
