Florida Panthers (@ DET) ML -151
The Panthers may be sitting below .500, but they lead the NHL in xGF/60 (3.63), so they’re probably a little undervalued in the market. The Red Wings are 22nd (2.95), so this is a bigger mismatch than the -151 line suggests. The model views the now healthy Panthers as -177 favourites. Sergei Bobrovsky has dominated the Red Wings in recent years, winning nine of his last 10 games with a 1.46 GAA, .949 SV% and one shutout.

New York Islanders (@ CGY) ML +197
The Islanders have been inconsistent as late, dominating the Panthers, Penguins and Canucks but getting crushed by the Kraken and the Oilers in the last few weeks. Still, +197 feels like a huge overreaction, according to our model. It views the Islanders as +118 underdogs, so even if you downgrade them a few cents because of Semyon Varlamov, there’s still a ton of value on them at +197.

The model likes Tampa Bay in Winnipeg, but it doesn’t see that the Lightning will be without Victor Hedman (personal). Additionally, Andrei Vasilevskiy’s status is uncertain due to an illness. He’s officially a game-time decision.
