Daily NHL betting guide: April 13

Getting a little skin in the game can make watching NHL hockey even more exciting.

During the 2021-22 season, Daily Faceoff will help you become an improved bettor thanks to this betting model and our betting tools.

NHL MODEL PICKS

Each day we will look at each game, the Sportsbook Odds (via PointsBet), and the odds of each team winning based on the model created by Philip Bulsink. Based on those two numbers, we can quickly identify which teams we need to bet on, which teams to avoid and which lines to keep an eye on throughout the day.

You can quickly determine which teams are the best bets by following this simple table:

All “Recommended Bets” are 1 unit wagers.

I will also provide some analysis on the best bets and update this post throughout the day to point out big injury news, lineup changes, and backup goalies starting.

The number to keep an eye on is the “Diff.” which is the percentage difference between the model’s projected Win% and the projected Win% based on PointsBet odds. To find out how odds turn into percentages, use our Odds Calculator.

BONUS PROP PICK:

Jack Roslovic Ov 0.5 Points (-115)

Roslovic has played primarily as Patrik Laine’s centre for several weeks and has performed very well. In this last month, he’s scored five goals with five assists (10 points) in 14 games while averaging 18:26 TOI/gm. The increased playing time has helped his production drastically. Tonight the Blue Jackets’ top-line has the best matchup on the entire slate, according to our DFO Premium DFS Charts.

With great usage, a great matchup and great linemates, I like Roslovic to get on the scoresheet tonight.

1 Unit Bet: Jack Roslovic Ov 0.5 Points (-115)

Yaremchuk’s Pick – New York Rangers -1.5 vs Philadelphia Flyers (+120)

The Rangers seem to always let me down when I bet on them, but I think they’re in a good spot tonight against the Flyers. The Rangers just lost to the Hurricanes last night and usually, I don’t like betting on teams playing the second of back-to-backs but the Flyers played last night too and they got waxed by the Capitals. Alexandar Georgiev is starting for the Rangers and he’s actually won five starts in a row as well.

Yaremchuk’s Prop – Mika Zibanejad over 0.5 assists (+110)

Zibanejad has nailed this bet in three straight games and he’s come through for me a handful of times this season. He has a total of 48 on the season and has also hit this in six of his last ten games. Like I said above, I love the matchup tonight for the Rangers and I like Zibanejad to come through with an apple.
