Washington Capitals (@ TOR)
The Capitals are +159 road underdogs in Toronto but the model views them closer to +130. They are riding an impressive four-game winning streak, beating the Lightning, Penguins, Bruins and Flyers. Over that stretch, they’ve averaged 5.8 goals for and 2.5 goals against.
They come in playing very well but have some question marks. Both Evgeny Kuznetsov (illness) and Dmitry Orlov (lower-body) will be game-time decisions. The line likely won’t move a lot between now and warmups, so it’s probably best to wait to see if Kuznetsov and/or Orlov are in before betting on the Capitals in a tough matchup.
