Daily NHL betting guide: March 7

Getting a little skin in the game can make watching NHL hockey even more exciting.
During the 2021-22 season, Daily Faceoff will help you become an improved bettor thanks to this betting model and our betting tools.
NHL MODEL PICKS
Each day we will look at each game, the Sportsbook Odds (via PointsBet), and the odds of each team winning based on the model created by Philip Bulsink. Based on those two numbers, we can quickly identify which teams we need to bet on, which teams to avoid and which lines to keep an eye on throughout the day.
You can quickly determine which teams are the best bets by following this simple table:

All “Recommended Bets” are 1 unit wagers.
I will also provide some analysis on the best bets and update this post throughout the day to point out big injury news, lineup changes, and backup goalies starting.
The number to keep an eye on is the “Diff.” which is the percentage difference between the model’s projected Win% and the projected Win% based on PointsBet odds. To find out how odds turn into percentages, use our Odds Calculator.

Proceed with Caution ⚠️
This is a tough spot for the Kings. They could be without Viktor Arvidsson, who was hurt in Buffalo yesterday and will be playing their third game in four days. To make matters worse, the Bruins are red-hot, having won seven of their last eight. During that stretch, they are averaging 4.3 goals for and 2.0 goals against per game.
Even though the model likes the Kings as +180 road underdogs, a few outside variables are affecting that line and making it look more desirable than it actually is.
Yaremchuk’s Picks
Yaremchuk’s Pick – COL + FLA regulation parlay (+170)
The Avalanche are coming off an OT loss to the Calgary Flames on the weekend and I think they’ll be hungry tonight against a pretty weak Islanders team. The Panthers are playing the Sabres and that shouldn’t be much of a problem for them either. You can parlay them just straight up on the money line, but I’m chasing a little bit of a better payout. I’m confident that the two favourites can roll tonight.
Yaremchuk’s Prop – Sam Reinhart over 0.5 assists (+110)
He’s been hitting this basically every second game for a while now and it’s actually hit in six of his last ten games. The payout is solid here considering the Panthers have a great matchup. They should be able to score and I like Reinhart to be involved.
