Daily NHL betting guide: November 22

Each day we will look at each game, the Sportsbook Odds (via PointsBet), and the odds of each team winning based on the model created by Philip Bulsink. Based on those two numbers, we can quickly identify which teams we need to bet on, which teams to avoid and which lines to keep an eye on throughout the day.

Recommended Bet
Vegas Golden Knights (@ STL)
The Golden Knights have been able to maintain while being extremely banged up, winning 11 of their first 18 games (11-7-0). They’re still pretty depleted, but Max Pacioretty appears to be nearing a return. Pacioretty’s return would provide a huge boost and would make the model’s pick look even better. PointsBet has Vegas at +130, but the model sees them as slight favorites (-105).

Carolina Hurricanes (@ SJS)
The Hurricanes have won the first three games of their west coast road trip and have won 14 of their first 16 games this season. Meanwhile, the Sharks have performed above expectations so far, but have relied heavily on James Reimer and his .938 SV%. San Jose is 31st in xGF% (45.54) and Carolina is 11th (51.89) and second in xGF/60 (2.79). They are a legitimate powerhouse and this is a much bigger mismatch than the -150 line would suggest. The model likes Carolina at -207.
