Daily NHL betting guide: November 27

Getting a little skin in the game can make watching NHL hockey even more exciting.
During the 2021-22 season, Daily Faceoff will help you become an improved bettor thanks to this betting model and our betting tools.
NHL MODEL PICKS
Each day we will look at each game, the Sportsbook Odds (via PointsBet), and the odds of each team winning based on the model created by Philip Bulsink. Based on those two numbers, we can quickly identify which teams we need to bet on, which teams to avoid and which lines to keep an eye on throughout the day.
You can quickly determine which teams are the best bets by following this simple table:

All “Recommended Bets” are 1 unit wagers.
I will also provide some analysis on the best bets and update this post throughout the day to point out big injury news, lineup changes, and backup goalies starting.
The number to keep an eye on is the “Diff.” which is the percentage difference between the model’s projected Win% and the projected Win% based on PointsBet odds. To find out how odds turn into percentages, use our Odds Calculator.

Recommended Bets
Florida Panthers (vs. SEA)
It’s just another day of the Model picking on the expansion team. It worked again yesterday, so why change the formula? The Panthers are coming off of a rare last night but return to Florida on Saturday, where they are undefeated this season. The Panthers are 11-0-0 while averaging 4.55 goals for and 2.09 goals against at FLA Live Arena. As I mentioned yesterday, the road has not been kind to the Kraken, they are 1-7-1 while averaging 2.11 goals for and 4.00 goals against in nine road contests.
1 Unit Bet: FLA -190
Vegas Golden Knights (vs. EDM)
I had been avoiding the model’s suggestions of the Golden Knights because of how banged up they were, but they are slowly getting back to full health. They are expected to get Jonathan Marchessault back on Saturday and are now only missing William Karlsson and Nolan Patrick from their early-season lineup.
Even while the injuries were piling up, Vegas has won six of its last seven home games while averaging 4.14 goals for and 2.86 goals-against. This team is still tough to beat at “The Fortress.”
1 Unit Bet: VGK -120
Calgary Flames (vs. WPG)
This sets up well for the Flames. They have been at home waiting since Tuesday while the Jets have traveled from Winnipeg to Columbus to Minnesota to Calgary in six days. They were shelled last night vs. the Wild, and their offense has gone completely dormant. Winnipeg is on a five-game losing skid and has scored just five goals in that span. A meeting with the league’s best defense is going to help.
1 Unit Bet: CGY -150
Tyler Yaremchuk’s Pick
Game Pick
Yaremchuk’s Pick: FLA -1.5 (+115) – vs. SEA
The Florida Panthers are a perfect 11-0 on home ice and tonight, they can set the record for the most consecutive home victories to start the season. They’re going up against a Kraken team that is 1-7-1 on the road is coming off a loss last night to the Tampa Bay Lightning. They’re also going with Chris Driedger between the pipes, who has a 4.74 goals-against average. Plenty of reasons to think the Panthers will roll over the Kraken.
Prop Pick
Yaremchuk’s Pick: Nazem Kadri Over 0.5 assists (+125) – vs. NSH
Before last night, Kadri had picked up at least one assist in eight straight games. That streak ended but I like Kadri to get back on the scoresheet tonight. I don’t love the Avalanche to win this game, but a +125 payout for a guy who is averaging more than an assist per game is just too juicy to pass up. I’m all over this one.
