Sharks at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -185 Favorites

The Penguins will look to extend their winning streak to three games on Thursday when they host the struggling Sharks. Pittsburgh has also won seven of its last eight games and 10 of 12, with the OVER on a 4-1 run. Unfortunately for the Penguins, All-Star forward Jake Guentzel (20 goals and 23 assists) will miss four-to-six months following shoulder surgery. Meanwhile, San Jose has been one of the biggest disappointments in the NHL and hopes 2020 is better. The Sharks have dropped five of their last six games along with 11 of 13.

Blue Jackets at Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -215 Favorites

The Bruins will try to rebound from a loss to one of the worst teams in the Metropolitan Division against another here when they host the Blue Jackets. Boston fell to the New Jersey Devils 3-2 on Tuesday as a -180 road favorite to end a three-game winning streak, with the UNDER on a 3-0 run. Columbus ended a two-game skid with a 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday as a -105 road underdog, with the UNDER on a 3-0-1 run.

Lightning at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -130 Favorites

The Lightning bring a season-high four-game winning streak into this road matchup with the Canadiens. Tampa Bay has outscored its last four opponents by a 19-10 margin, with the OVER cashing three times during that stretch. Montreal has lost three games in a row, getting outscored 14-10, including two one-goal losses. The OVER is on a 5-1 run for the Habs.

Maple Leafs at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -125 Favorites

The Maple Leafs are playing some of their best hockey of the season as they visit the Jets to end a two-game road trip. Toronto is coming off a 4-1 victory against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday as a -130 road favorite, which was also the team’s seventh win in eight games. Winnipeg halted a three-game losing streak with a 7-4 rout of the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday as a +175 road underdog. However, the Jets have lost four straight home games.

Ducks at Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -170 Favorites

This Pacific Division matchup will pit two teams on opposite ends of the standings as the Coyotes host the Ducks. Arizona sits two points behind the Vegas Golden Knights in second place while Anaheim is tied for last with San Jose. The Coyotes ended a three-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday as +100 home underdogs, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run as well. The Ducks have dropped three of their last four games and eight of 12 following a 5-2 loss to the Golden Knights on Tuesday as +195 road dogs.

Blues at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -140 Favorites

The two top teams in the Central Division will square off for the second time in nine games when the Avalanche host the Blues. St. Louis defended its home ice with a 5-2 victory on December 16 as a -120 home favorite as part of a season-high eight-game winning streak. Colorado has lost six straight in the series along with 10 of 12 and 15 of 18. The Avalanche have also dropped three games in a row and five of six overall, with the OVER on a 4-1 run.

Blackhawks at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canucks -160 Favorites

The Blackhawks will go for a perfect 3-0 road trip when they visit the Canucks. Chicago has beaten Columbus 3-2 and the Calgary Flames 5-3 in the first two games of the trip as an underdog as part of a longer three-game winning streak. The Blackhawks have won four in a row only once this year. Vancouver is riding a season-best five-game winning streak but has lost two of the past three meetings with Chicago after winning the previous five in the series.

Flyers at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -165 Favorites

The Flyers continue a rough six-game road trip against the Golden Knights after losing two of the first three. Philadelphia had won four straight games prior to the trip and then fell at San Jose on Saturday and to the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday as a road favorite each time. That obviously will not be the case in this spot against a Vegas team that has won two games in a row at home and five of six there, closing as a favorite of -200 or higher in four of them.

Also on today’s schedule: Oilers at Sabres, Devils at Islanders, Panthers at Senators and Rangers at Flames.
