Jets at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -142 Favorites

The Canadiens will try to snap a five-game skid when they host the Jets to close out a three-game homestand. Montreal has lost each of the first two games of its current homestand by exactly one goal, including a 3-2 overtime defeat to the Pittsburgh Penguins as a -125 favorite on Saturday. Of the team’s last eight losses dating back to December 5, seven have been decided by only one goal, with the UNDER on a 3-0 run. However, Winnipeg has not been much better lately, dropping two straight and five of six, with the OVER cashing in eight of 11.

Avalanche at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -112 Favorites

The Avalanche continue a three-game road trip through the New York/New Jersey area when they visit the Islanders. Colorado kicked off the trip with a 5-2 rout of the New Jersey Devils on Saturday, cashing as a -200 road favorite behind a hat trick from Mikko Rantanen while Nathan MacKinnon added two assists. The OVER is also on a 3-0 run for the Avalanche, going 6-1 in their last seven as well. New York has lost two games in a row, getting outscored 5-1 during that stretch, with the UNDER going 2-0. But the Islanders have won the past two meetings in this series, along with four of the previous five, with the OVER on a 4-1 run.

Oilers at Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -191 Favorites

The Maple Leafs will go for their fourth straight victory on Monday when they host the Oilers. Toronto has been one of the hottest teams in the league, also winning nine of its last 10 to pull within six points of the Atlantic Division-leading Boston Bruins after blanking the New York Islanders 3-0 on Saturday as a -150 home favorite. Meanwhile, Edmonton has alternated wins and losses in its past four games following a 4-1 upset victory at Boston on Saturday as a +190 road underdog. The Oilers will be looking to break a seven-game series losing streak in this matchup with the Maple Leafs.

Blue Jackets at Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Kings -108 Favorites

The Kings will look to bounce back from a 4-1 loss to the Nashville Predators when they host the Blue Jackets in the third game of a four-game homestand. Los Angeles closed as a +105 home underdog versus Nashville on Saturday and had opened the homestand with a 5-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers as a -105 dog last Tuesday. The UNDER is on a 6-1 run for the Kings. Columbus opens a four-game West Coast road trip at Staples Center and will be playing the first game of a back-to-back situation in this spot. The Blue Jackets have seen the UNDER go 5-0-1 in their past six, and they have also lost the last two times they have played the front end of a back-to-back after winning their previous three under that scenario.
