Canucks at Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -201 Favorites

The Canucks bring a season-high seven-game winning streak into Tampa Bay on Tuesday to face an identically hot Lightning club in the opener of a five-game road trip. Vancouver went 7-1 on its recently completed eight-game homestand, and the team has gone just 9-10-1 on the road this season. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has also won seven games in a row, with the last four taking place away from home. The Lightning are 12-7-2 at Amalie Arena this year.

Coyotes at Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -133 Favorites

The Coyotes will kick off a three-game road trip and try to extend their winning streak to four games when they visit the Panthers. Arizona won the last three games of a four-game homestand by two goals or more over the St. Louis Blues (3-1), Anaheim Ducks (4-2) and Philadelphia Flyers (6-2), with the OVER cashing in three of four. Florida just wrapped up a four-game road trip with a 2-2 mark, and the UNDER cashing three times. The Panthers are 13-7-2 at home this season compared to 9-8-3 on the road following their trip.

Flyers at Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -165 Favorites

The Hurricanes hope to end a two-game skid when they host the Flyers in the fifth game of a seven-game homestand. Carolina won the first two games of the homestand against the Washington Capitals (6-4) and Montreal Canadiens (3-1) before losing to Washington (4-3) and Tampa Bay (3-1) to start 2020. Philadelphia is 1-4 so far on a six-game road trip that ends at PNC Arena. The Flyers have dropped three straight, with the OVER on a 3-0 run.

Islanders at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -145 Favorites

The Islanders will go for wins on back-to-back nights when they visit the Devils. New York is coming off a 1-0 victory against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday as a +105 home underdog, as the UNDER cashed for the third straight time. The Islanders have won four of five when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation, along with 13 of 16 going back to 2018. New Jersey saw its three-game winning streak end with a 5-2 loss to Colorado on Saturday as a +170 home underdog.

Avalanche at Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -160 Favorites

The Avalanche will also be playing on back-to-back nights when they visit the Rangers. Colorado fell 1-0 at the Islanders on Monday as a -125 road favorite to halt a two-game winning streak. The UNDER also cashed for the first time in four games for the Avalanche. New York has lost three games in a row, with the OVER on a 9-1-1 run in its last 11.

Bruins at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -105 Odds

The Bruins will attempt to end a three-game skid when they visit a Predators team with a new head coach. Boston has had trouble generating offense lately, getting outscored 9-4 during the losing streak, with the UNDER cashing in five straight. Nashville fired head coach Peter Laviolette on Monday after more than five seasons. The Predators have underachieved a bit more lately as part of a disappointing first half of the year, losing four of their last five, with the OVER going 4-1 during that stretch.

Sharks at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -185 Favorites

The Blues will be happy to be back home to host the Sharks after a rough three-game road trip that saw the defending Stanley Cup champions go winless. St. Louis fell at Arizona (3-1), Colorado (7-3) and Vegas (5-4 in overtime) following a season-high eight-game winning streak. San Jose has gone 2-1-1 in the first four games of a five-game road trip that ends at the Enterprise Center. This rematch of the 2019 Western Conference Final has seen the Blues win five of the past six meetings, including a 5-2 rout of the Sharks as -120 road favorites on December 21, with the OVER cashing in two straight and five of seven.

Penguins at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -145 Favorites

The Golden Knights will try to stay perfect on their season-high seven-game homestand when they host the Penguins. Vegas has won the first four games, including consecutive 5-4 nail-biters against Philadelphia and St. Louis on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. The win for the Knights over the Blues came in overtime, as the OVER cashed for the third straight time. Pittsburgh is hoping to get captain Sidney Crosby (groin) back soon, and he is traveling with the team on its three-game road trip that starts in Vegas. The Penguins have dropped two of their last three games following a three-game winning streak, with the UNDER on a 3-0 run.

Also on today’s schedule: Senators at Capitals, Canadiens at Red Wings, Flames at Blackhawks and Blue Jackets at Ducks.
