Bruins vs Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -179 Favorites

After Thursday’s 3-2 shootout victory at New Jersey as a -190 road favorite, Boston has now won five of the past six meetings and nine of the last 11. Brad Marchand scored the game-winner for the Bruins in the shootout, and he also tallied the first goal on the power play at the 17:40 mark of the first period. The Devils stayed competitive throughout the game though and found a way to tie the game twice, with goalie Mackenzie Blackwood stopping 35 of 37 shots prior to the shootout. Jack Hughes also played well for New Jersey with a pair of assists.

Sharks vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -127 Favorites

San Jose blew a two-goal lead late in the third period against Arizona on Thursday but was still able to escape with a 4-3 shootout win to cash as a +115 road underdog. These teams will run it back again on Saturday, and the Coyotes will try to get off to a better start after giving up an early 2-0 lead to the Sharks in their season opener, with Tomas Hertl scoring both goals for the road team. Phil Kessel was able to tie the game for Arizona with 3.2 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime, as the total went OVER for the third time in four meetings.

Canadiens vs Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -145 Favorites

Edmonton will look to build on a strong performance Thursday, a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks to earn the team a split of two games in two days as a -135 home favorite. The Oilers will host the Canadiens next after seeing their first two games both go OVER the total. Montreal is coming off a 5-4 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs as a +125 road underdog on Wednesday, as the team got a pair of goals from Josh Anderson and led for long stretches.

Maple Leafs vs Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -179 Favorites

Toronto and Ottawa square off for the second time in as many nights after the latter pulled off a 5-3 upset as a +170 home underdog in its season opener on Friday. The Maple Leafs saw goaltender Frederik Andersen give up four goals or more for the second consecutive game, although they were able to rally for a 5-4 overtime victory against the Canadiens as -145 home favorites on Wednesday. Toronto is expected to give Jack Campbell the nod in the rematch.

Islanders vs Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -116 Favorites

In what was supposed to be a coming-out party for the young Rangers, the Islanders stole the show at Madison Square Garden in their season opener on Thursday en route to an easy 4-0 win in a pick’em game. The Rangers had won four of the previous five meetings, but you wouldn’t know it based on the early dominance of the Islanders, who jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first period. Semyon Varlamov made 24 saves for his 28th career shutout.

Blue Jackets vs Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -127 Favorites

Nashville will attempt to make it two in a row over Columbus after picking up a 3-1 win on Thursday as a -120 home favorite. That low-scoring affair ended a four-game OVER streak in the series, as promising 25-year-old goaltender Juuse Saros stopped 29 of 30 shots to earn the victory for the Predators. The Blue Jackets had scored the only goal of the first period before giving up three straight, with two coming in the third period, including an empty-netter.

Canucks vs Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -127 Favorites

Vancouver will be playing its third consecutive game on the road at Calgary after splitting a pair at Edmonton. The Canucks saw 25-year-old goalie Thatcher Demko stop 41 of 46 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Oilers as +115 underdogs on Thursday, giving up three goals to Connor McDavid and two to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The Flames will be playing their home opener after blowing a 3-1 lead to the Winnipeg Jets in a 4-3 overtime loss as -120 road favorites on Thursday.

Ducks vs Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -227 Favorites

Vegas will go for its 12th victory in 14 all-time meetings with Anaheim following a 5-2 victory as a massive -230 home favorite in their season opener on Thursday. The Golden Knights got a goal and an assist during a three-goal third period from newly-anointed captain Mark Stone, as the OVER cashed for the fifth straight time between the teams. Vegas could start Marc-Andre Fleury in net after Robin Lehner got the call in the first game and made 20 saves.
