Lightning vs Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -154 Favorites

Tampa Bay picked up where it left off on Thursday with a 3-2 overtime win against Columbus as a -160 road favorite to stay unbeaten. The defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning had won their first two rather easily versus the Chicago Blackhawks by a combined score of 10-3 before taking five days off between games because their next opponent the Dallas Stars had experienced a COVID-19 outbreak. Despite going to OT in their latest game, the UNDER still improved to 5-1-1 in the past seven meetings and 4-1 for the Blue Jackets this season overall.

Canadiens vs Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -140 Favorites

Montreal will try to avoid its first regulation loss of the season on Saturday in the finale of a three-game set at Vancouver. The Canadiens routed the Canucks 7-3 on Thursday as -150 road favorites, with the OVER cashing for the second time in as many games in the series. Montreal has suffered just two losses so far in 2021, with both of them taking place in extra time. Vancouver’s goaltending and defense continues to be a big concern, surrendering nearly five goals per game, as the OVER also improved to 5-1 in the team’s first six to start the year.

Flyers vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -143 Favorites

Boston ended a two-game skid in its highest-scoring game of the season on Thursday and will now go for two straight wins in a second straight matchup with Philadelphia. The Bruins edged the Flyers 5-4 as -150 home favorites in the first meeting of the year, with Jake DeBrusk scoring the game-winner in the shootout. Boston trailed Philadelphia 2-0 at the end of the second period but rallied with four goals in the third to tie things up 4-4 at the end of regulation. The Flyers had won five of the previous six meetings, with the UNDER going 4-1 in the last five before that.

Kings vs Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -191 Favorites

Los Angeles will attempt to win consecutive games for the first time this year in the first of two at St. Louis. The Kings pulled off a 4-2 upset win over the Colorado Avalanche as +190 home underdogs on Thursday after trailing 2-0 at the end of the first period. Los Angeles had lost each of its first three games by one goal apiece, including two in overtime, with the OVER going 3-1 overall. The Blues have alternated wins and losses in their first four games after splitting a pair with the San Jose Sharks to open a four-game homestand. St. Louis goalie Jordan Binnington has started all four games so far, and his team has won the past three meetings.

Senators vs Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Jets -137 Favorites

Winnipeg improved to 3-1 this season on Thursday with a 4-1 victory against Ottawa and will go for the home-and-home sweep here. The Jets cashed as -120 road favorites in the second meeting with the Senators this year after winning the first in overtime 4-3 in a pick’em matchup at Ottawa on Tuesday. This will be the third consecutive game between the teams, and Winnipeg is riding a four-game series winning streak now, also taking eight of the last 10.
