Canadiens at Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sabres -110 Favorites

The Sabres will look to snap a two-game losing streak on Thursday when they host the Canadiens in an Atlantic Division matchup. Buffalo is coming off a 5-2 setback against the Ottawa Senators as a -200 home favorite on Tuesday, with the OVER cashing for the fourth time in seven games. The Sabres fell to 14-7-3 at home and will be without starting goaltender Linus Ullmark for the next three-to-four weeks due to a leg injury. Montreal has dropped four of the past five meetings with Buffalo, and the OVER is also 4-1 in those games. The Canadiens lost to the Capitals 4-2 on Monday as +105 home underdogs in their first game after the All-Star break.

Predators at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -135 Favorites

The Predators hope to build off an impressive victory on Wednesday when they visit the Devils on Thursday in the second game of a back-to-back situation. Unlike this current matchup, Nashville was a +135 road underdog versus the Washington Capitals and won 5-4 despite an own goal and sloppy play overall for the visiting team. The Predators defeated the Capitals for the eighth straight time as well, and they have also won five of six against their opponent here, including three in a row away from home. New Jersey will try to take advantage of the fact that Nashville has lost its last two and eight of 10 when playing the second game of a back-to-back while also attempting to put together its first two-game winning streak since January 12. In addition, the OVER is on a 3-1 run for the Devils.

Kings at Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -175 Favorites

The Coyotes will look to bust out of a slump that has seen them lose six of their last seven games when they host the Kings in the opener of a four-game homestand. Arizona fell again on Wednesday, dropping a 4-2 decision to the Anaheim Ducks as a -130 road favorite for the team’s third consecutive loss. The Coyotes have not been better at home though with a 12-10-2 mark there compared to 14-11-3 on the road, and they have also lost five times in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation. But Arizona has won the past two meetings with Los Angeles and three of the previous four in the series over the last year. The Kings will be playing on back-to-back nights as well following a 4-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday as +210 home underdogs, extending their skid to five straight.
