Edmonton will go for its sixth win in seven games on Thursday when the team visits Montreal. The Oilers are coming off a two-game sweep of the Senators, outscoring them by a combined 6-3 in the pair as the total went UNDER in both. The Canadiens will be playing back-to-back nights after hosting the Maple Leafs on Wednesday. They have won four in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation and the past two meetings with the Oilers, who had taken five of the previous six between the teams. The UNDER is on a 3-0 series run.

Pittsburgh will try to end a two-game skid in the finale of a two-game set at New York. The Penguins have actually played their last three games in the Big Apple, losing once each to the Islanders and Rangers. Pittsburgh has also dropped four of its last five, with the UNDER on a 4-2 run. The Islanders have won two in a row following a season-high five-game skid. New York has also won the past three meetings and seven of eight, with the OVER on a 4-0 series run.

Tampa Bay brings a season-high six-game winning streak into the first of two games at Florida. The past five wins for the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning have all been decided by two goals or more, with the OVER going 4-2 during their winning streak overall. Meanwhile, the Panthers have alternated wins and losses in their previous five games, with the UNDER on a 6-1 run in their last seven. Florida has dropped nine of the past 10 meetings with Tampa Bay. The OVER has cashed in six of the last seven games between them along with 10 of 12.

Opening NHL Odds: Jets -190 Favorites
Ottawa opens a five-game road trip with the first of two games at Winnipeg. The Senators are 1-6 away from home so far this season, winning their last road game 3-2 as +260 underdogs against the Canadiens last Thursday. However, they have lost three straight since then and 12 of 13 overall, with the UNDER on a 5-0 run. The Jets have won two of three, with the UNDER cashing in each of those games, and they have also won the past five meetings in this series.
Blue Jackets vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -120 Favorites
Chicago rides a three-game winning streak into this matchup with Columbus. The Blackhawks just swept the Stars in a pair of games by identical 2-1 scores, and they split two previous meetings with the Blue Jackets earlier this year, as the UNDER cashed twice. In fact, the UNDER is on a 6-2 run for Chicago overall while the OVER is 3-1 in the past four for Columbus since they met. The Blackhawks are 3-1 in the last four meetings, with the UNDER going 4-0.

Dallas hopes to break a three-game losing streak in the first of two games versus Carolina. The Stars were just swept in two home games by the Blackhawks by identical 2-1 scores, with the UNDER cashing easily both times. The Hurricanes wrap up a six-game road trip here, and they have split the first four, with the OVER on a 4-1 run in their last five. They have also won five of the past seven meetings following a six-game series skid, with the UNDER on a 5-1 run.

Opening NHL Odds: Kings -113 Favorites
San Jose will attempt a two-game sweep of Los Angeles after earning a 4-3 shootout victory as a -125 road favorite on Tuesday. The Sharks had lost three of their previous four games and handed the Kings their fifth straight defeat. Los Angeles has now dropped six of the past seven home meetings and 12 of 14 going back to 2015. The OVER is also 9-3 for the Kings this year.
Flames vs Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Flames -133 Favorites
Calgary will visit Vancouver for the first of three consecutive games there before hosting the same team next Wednesday. The Flames have won two in a row after losing two straight while the Canucks are riding a five-game skid. Calgary has won five of the past six meetings in this series as well, including two at home earlier this season by a combined score of 8-2.
