Bruins vs Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -153 Favorites

Boston will try to beat New York for the fifth straight time on Friday when they finish up a two-game series at Madison Square Garden. The East Division-leading Bruins saw Brad Marchand (team-leading eight goals) score the game-winner 36 seconds into overtime on Wednesday to defeat the Rangers 3-2 as -180 road favorites. Boston won its fourth in a row overall and eighth in nine games, with the UNDER cashing for the second consecutive time following a 3-0 OVER run.

New York is nine points back in the standings and lost its second straight after a two-game winning streak, with the UNDER going 4-0 during that stretch. The past three meetings have been fairly low-scoring too, averaging 4.67 goals to all finish UNDER the total. The previous three games in this series were very high-scoring, averaging 9.00 goals to all go OVER.

Blues vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -143 Favorites

St. Louis hopes to end a season-high three-game losing streak in the team’s fifth consecutive game against Arizona. The Blues just went 1-2-1 in four home meetings with the Coyotes, who now host them for three games starting here. In the last game, Arizona’s Christian Dvorak beat St. Louis goaltender Jordan Binnington for a shootout goal to give the visitors a 4-3 upset victory as +145 underdogs on Monday.

The Coyotes won their third straight over the Blues after losing the series opener 4-3 as +140 underdogs back on February 2. The OVER is 3-1 in the past four meetings after a 5-0 UNDER run that saw four goals or less scored between them four times. St. Louis was scheduled to visit Minnesota and Arizona was supposed to face Colorado earlier this week on the road, but those two-game sets were postponed due to COVID-19 protocols.
