Flyers at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -115 Favorites
The Blue Jackets are looking to end a season-high six-game losing streak as they host the Flyers in the second game of a home-and-home series. Columbus has seen four of the six losses during that stretch decided by only one goal, with the OVER cashing in three of the last four. Philadelphia won the last meeting 5-1 on Tuesday as a -155 home favorite, with the OVER on a 4-0 run in its last four overall. The Flyers have also won six of nine and 10 of 15.
Sharks at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Devils -130 Favorites
The Sharks begin a four-game East Coast road trip on Thursday when they visit the Devils. San Jose has surprisingly won four straight games away from home despite closing as an underdog each time, with the UNDER going 3-1. New Jersey has won three of its last four at home but is coming off a 3-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday as a +240 road underdog, snapping their opponent’s five-game skid.
Penguins at Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -120 Favorites
The Penguins bring a three-game winning streak to Scotiabank Arena against the Maple Leafs as they complete a home-and-home series. Pittsburgh routed Toronto 5-2 on Tuesday as a -140 home favorite thanks to four points from Sidney Crosby, who had one goal and three assists. The Penguins scored three goals on the power play as well, with Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen stopping just 19-of-24 shots overall. Toronto has lost two games in a row overall, with the OVER cashing both times, along with six of its last nine.
Canadiens at Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -185 Favorites
The Capitals are hoping a return home and an upgrade on defense will help them get back on track when they host the Canadiens. Washington traded for defenseman Brenden Dillon from the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, and they have dropped four of their last five games, with the past two losses coming on the road. Montreal is riding a five-game skid after falling to the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 for the fourth time this season on Tuesday as a -200 road favorite.
Jets at Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Jets -126 Favorites
The Jets open a four-game road trip on a two-game winning streak as they visit the Senators. Winnipeg is favored for the seventh straight game and has won four of the previous six times under that scenario, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run. Ottawa is on a two-game winning streak too, which is a big deal considering the last time the team accomplished that was November 22. In fact, the Senators have won three of the first four games of their six-game homestand.
Coyotes at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blues -189 Favorites
The Blues will try to win consecutive games for the first time since January 13 when they host the Coyotes. St. Louis ended a season-high five-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils as a -280 home favorite. Arizona will be playing back-to-back nights after losing 3-2 to the Dallas Stars on Wednesday as a +155 road underdog. The Coyotes have lost six times in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back.
Lightning at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -115 Favorites
The Golden Knights will attempt to stay perfect on their five-game homestand when they host the league’s hottest team in the Lightning. Vegas has won the first three games of its homestand by a combined score of 10-7 as a favorite each time, with the UNDER cashing in the last two. Tampa Bay has already moved into the role of road favorite in this spot as the team looks to extend its franchise-record 11-game winning streak. The Lightning have also gone a remarkable 23-2-1 in their previous 26 games going back to December 23.
Panthers at Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -154 Favorites
The Panthers will go for a sweep of the Southern California teams and try to win their third straight game against a Pacific Division foe when they visit the Kings. Florida is coming off a 4-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday as a -140 road favorite after topping the San Jose Sharks 5-3 as -150 chalk in the opener of a five-game trip. The Panthers have won six of the last seven times they have played the second game of a back-to-back situation. Los Angeles has lost six of eight and 11 of 14 as the team continues to deal key players leading up to the NHL trade deadline, sending defenseman Alec Martinez to Vegas on Wednesday.
