Blackhawks vs Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -138 Favorites
Columbus wraps up a four-game homestand with the first of two games versus Chicago. The Blue Jackets have faced the Blackhawks four times already this year, splitting the games by winning the first and losing the second in each of the first two series. Columbus is also coming off a two-game split against Nashville, winning the opener and losing the finale. Meanwhile, Chicago had its three-game winning streak halted with a 5-3 loss to Carolina as a +155 road underdog on Friday. The Blackhawks had won six of their previous seven, with the UNDER cashing five times. The UNDER is 3-1 in the past four meetings with the Blue Jackets.
Penguins vs Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -133 Favorites
Washington squares off against Pittsburgh for the second time in a week after the teams split a pair of games on February 14 and 16. The Penguins won the first game of that set versus the Capitals 6-3 as -120 home favorites and then lost the rematch 3-1 as -125 chalk two days later. Since then, Pittsburgh swept the New York Islanders in two home games, with the UNDER cashing in both. Washington has won two of three following a 4-3 victory as a -160 home favorite on Sunday, with the OVER cashing for the first time in four games. The Capitals rallied back from an early 2-0 deficit against the Devils behind two goals from T.J. Oshie. However, they have lost three of four meetings with the Penguins this year along with six of the past nine.
Canadiens vs Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -222 Favorites
Montreal will try to avoid its first three-game losing streak of the season in the finale of this two-game road series with Ottawa. The Canadiens were upset 3-2 by the Senators in overtime as -225 road favorites in the opener on Sunday, with Brady Tkachuk scoring the game-winning goal for the home team. Ottawa has now won two of the three meetings in this series in 2021 by identical 3-2 scores, and the one loss was also decided by only one goal. Montreal has dropped four of its last five games overall, and the UNDER is on a 6-1 run in the team’s previous seven. The UNDER has cashed in the past seven meetings in this series.
Sabres vs Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Devils -120 Favorites
New Jersey and Buffalo open a home-and-home series after meeting each other on Saturday. The Devils lost the last game to the Sabres 3-2 as -135 home favorites and then fell to the Capitals 4-3 as +140 home dogs on Sunday in the second game of a back-to-back situation due to rescheduling from an earlier COVID-19 outbreak. Buffalo ended a four-game losing streak with that victory at New Jersey and will be playing the second game of a back-to-back in this spot after falling to the New York Islanders 3-2 as a +145 road underdog on Monday. The Sabres have lost two in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back and six of nine.
Predators vs Red Wings | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Predators -143 Favorites
Nashville got off the schneid with a victory on Saturday and will attempt to win two in a row for the first time since January 27 in this visit to Detroit. The Predators ended a two-game skid with a 4-2 win over the Blue Jackets as +110 road underdogs, which was also just their second victory in seven games and third in 10. The Red Wings have yet to win consecutive games, as they won for only the third time in 16 games on Saturday. Detroit edged Florida 2-1 as a +155 home underdog to end a three-game skid, with the UNDER on a 7-2 run. The Red Wings have enjoyed recent success against the Predators though, winning 11 of the past 14 meetings.
Oilers vs Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -111 Odds
Edmonton will go for its first four-game winning streak in the first of two games at Vancouver. The Oilers swept the Flames in a home-and-home series last weekend, outscoring them 9-2, including a 7-1 rout as -130 home favorites Saturday in the second game of a back-to-back situation. Edmonton has also won six of its last seven and nine of 11. The Canucks have gone the opposite way, dropping two straight and nine of 11 since a four-game winning streak. They were just swept in a two-game home series with the Jets by a combined score of 6-3 as favorites each time after upsetting the Flames 5-1 as +140 road underdogs for their last win. Vancouver has won two of the past three meetings against Edmonton, with the OVER going 2-0-1.
