Bruins vs Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -175 Favorites

Boston hopes to bounce back from its worst loss of the season in the second game of a three-game road trip through New York. The Bruins were crushed 7-2 by the Islanders as -125 road favorites on Thursday for their third loss in their last four games, with four of their previous five setbacks decided by just one goal. The Islanders are actually the team that handed them their only other loss by more than one goal too, winning 4-2 as +115 home underdogs on February 13 and going a perfect 3-0 against them in 2021.

The Rangers have not been as fortunate, losing six straight meetings in this series, with the UNDER cashing in each of the last four. New York has won two of its last three games overall, although the team’s two-game winning streak was halted with a 4-3 loss at Philadelphia as a +110 road underdog on Wednesday. Fortunately for the Rangers, they are catching their opponent in the second game of a back-to-back situation. Boston has lost three in a row under that scenario, with the OVER on a 3-0 run.

Kings vs Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Wild -154 Favorites

Los Angeles rides a season-best six-game winning streak into Minnesota for the first of two games to close out a four-game road trip. The Kings have played outstanding defense in their last six games, limiting the opposition to two goals or less each time, with the UNDER cashing in four of their previous five. What is more impressive is that they have closed as underdogs in each game during that stretch too, potentially making their backers a lot of money.

Meanwhile, the Wild have won four games in a row, closing as road favorites in three of them. Minnesota did lose 4-0 at Los Angeles as -160 road chalk on February 16 just prior to its winning streak, and the OVER has also gone 3-1 in the team’s four games since then. In fact, the Kings have won two of the past three meetings after the Wild won six of the previous eight in the series.

Avalanche vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -167 Favorites

Colorado opens a two-game road set against Arizona, with the front end of a back-to-back situation taking place on Friday. The Avalanche suffered a bit of a letdown after splitting four games with the Golden Knights, falling 6-2 to the Wild as -180 home favorites on Wednesday. The OVER cashed for the first time in their last six games, and the OVER is 3-0 in the past three meetings with the Coyotes as well following a 5-0 UNDER run.

Arizona is coming off a two-game home sweep of Anaheim by identical 4-3 scores, as the OVER continued on a 3-0 run overall. The second game against the Ducks on Wednesday was eventually decided in a shootout after the Coyotes rallied back from a 3-0 deficit at the end of the second period. Colorado has won four of the past five meetings with Arizona, six of eight and eight of 11.
