Bruins vs Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -163 Favorites
Boston will look to avoid its first three-game losing streak of the season in the finale of a three-game road trip at New York. The Bruins have been dominated by the Islanders and Rangers in losing the first two games of their trip, getting outscored 13-4 despite closing as road favorites each time. The OVER is on a 3-0 run for Boston, which has lost two in a row twice previously this season before rebounding with a win on both occasions to end the skids. The Rangers were the latest team to rout them, doing so in a decisive 6-2 victory as +145 home underdogs Friday. New York has won three of its last four games for the second time this year, with the OVER cashing in its last two. The Rangers halted a six-game series skid with their latest win, and the OVER ended a 4-0 UNDER run in the previous four meetings.
Blue Jackets vs Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Predators -130 Favorites
Nashville will try to hand Columbus its fifth straight loss in the finale of a two-game home set. The Predators edged the Blue Jackets 2-1 as -125 home favorites on Saturday, as they won for the third time in four games after losing five of six. Nashville has won the past two meetings in the series, five of the last six and 10 of 13 going back to 2016. Columbus has seen the UNDER cash in its last two games after a 3-1 OVER run, as the team has scored two goals or less in three of its past four. Nashville has scored exactly two goals in three straight.
Flyers vs Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -120 Favorites
Philadelphia will go for a two-game sweep of Buffalo in the second of two at Buffalo. The Flyers blanked the Sabres 3-0 as -170 road favorites on Saturday thanks to a 23-save shutout from goaltender Brian Elliott, who accomplished that feat for the second time this season. Philadelphia got four players back from the COVID-19 list, and it definitely gave the team an added boost in winning its second in a row since dropping four of five. Buffalo has lost two straight now, three of four and seven of nine, with the UNDER on a 6-1-1 run in its last eight.
Penguins vs Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -120 Favorites
Pittsburgh will try to defeat New York for the fifth consecutive time in the finale of a two-game road series. The Penguins topped the Islanders 4-3 in overtime as -105 underdogs on Saturday, with defenseman Kris Letang scoring his second goal of the game to win it in the extra session. The Islanders saw their two-game winning streak come to an end despite scoring three goals or more for the third straight time, with the OVER going 2-0-1 during that stretch following a 4-0 UNDER run. However, Pittsburgh has dropped two in a row, three of four and five of seven when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run.
Red Wings vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blackhawks -145 Favorites
Detroit will attempt to beat Chicago in consecutive games for the first time since the 2013 playoffs to close out a two-game series. While the Red Wings have defeated the Blackhawks in two straight meetings twice since then, the second victory took place the following year both times, making this a unique situation for them. Chicago had won the previous four meetings along with eight of nine before Detroit pulled off a 5-3 upset as a +140 road underdog on Saturday. The UNDER had also cashed in five of the prior six meetings before the latest game.
Capitals vs Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -150 Favorites
Washington hopes to extend its winning streak to three games for the second time this year in the finale of a two-game home set versus New Jersey. The Capitals routed the Devils 5-2 on Saturday as -130 home favorites, their second straight game with that exact same score. Washington has won two in a row, three of four and five of seven since losing four straight, with the OVER on a 3-1 run. New Jersey has headed in the opposite direction, losing four of five following a three-game winning streak. The OVER is 3-1 in the last four overall for the Devils along with the past four meetings, which have seen the Capitals emerge victorious three times.
